Love reaches new heights with proposal atop Mayo mountain

It was a mountain climb with a very special ending for Grace Queenan & Tom Hook.
The young couple got engaged atop Nephin Mountain last month.
They called into Barrett’s of Lahardane, who give out free certificates to anyone who successfully climbs Nephin, and they shared this amazing story on their Instagram page.
“Every now and again, someone comes in with a story that makes their certificate even more special. A huge congratulations to Grace Queenan & Tom Hook, who not only conquered Nephin but got engaged at the top on Monday, 17th August. Talk about reaching new heights together,” they said.
The story also had a lovely local connection. Grace is the granddaughter of Patrick Queenan & Mary Gaughan from Errew & Castlehill.
