As part of the ongoing transformation programme at Ireland West Airport, work has commenced on upgrading their existing car parking facilities for passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) / Blue Badge holders to increase capacity ahead of the summer season.

The airport stated: "Over the coming weeks, our main car park for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM), located in front of the terminal building, will be temporarily closed whilst the upgrade works take place and will not be available to passengers. During the period of the works, temporary spaces for passengers with Reduced Mobility are available in Car Park Zone C, which will be clearly signposted on arrival at the airport.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these enhancement works and thank you for your co-operation."
