Progress on assisted living service in Mayo town
The HSE has passed on the details of the nominated leads for Older Persons Services and Disability Services who can now be contacted to bring a planned Crossmolina Assisted Living Service into being.
Local councillor Michael Loftus thanked HSE management for the information, telling the February meeting of Regional Health Forum West and Northwest: “This is in relation to the Assisted Living Service we are trying to develop in Crossmolina.
"We feel we need assistance to go forward with it, and I am delighted to have been given two names to get in touch with, for them to come down to our site and give us direction and also visit the primary care centre in relation to the nursing section, if we could combine the two for assisted living.
"We have a 26-acre field we want to develop and, unfortunately, we are all getting older and may be looking ourselves at some point for assisted living.”
