Man in court for burglary at Foxford supermarket
The defendant appeared before Belmullet District Court.
A man has been charged in relation to a burglary at a supermarket in Foxford last August.
Kastriot Boza, 4 Barons Hall Park, Balbriggan, Co Dublin appeared before Belmullet District Court last Wednesday where he was charged with burglary and handling stolen property. The offences are said to have occurred on August 25, 2025.
Det Gda Aidan Brennan gave evidence of arresting Mr Boza at 11.35pm at Ballina Garda Station on the day prior to the court sitting. He charged and cautioned Mr Boza for both alleged offences. The defendant's reply after each charge was “no comment".
Solicitor Gary Mulchrone said his client, who is currently in custody, would not be making a bail application. However, an application for legal aid was granted by Judge Sandra Murphy.
The accused was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned to Castlebar District Court next Wednesday, January 21, pending directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
