Castlebar man on cocaine possession charges
The man pleaded guilty at Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court.
A Castlebar man has appeared in court on charges relating to the seizure by gardaí of cocaine at separate locations in Mayo.
Alan Boyle, of McHale Road, Castlebar, pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing cocaine for the purpose of sale or supply when he appeared before a sitting of Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court last week. The value of the drugs was not stated in court.
Judge Eoin Garavan was told that two of the charges relate to a garda search at a property on McHale Road in Castlebar on June 24, 2022, and the third offence occurred at Lord Edward Street in Ballina on June 29, 2022.
Judge Garavan adjourned the case for sentencing to February 23, 2024. The judge requested that a probation report be prepared on the defendant before that date.
