Ballina man pleads guilty to indecent exposure charges
The defendant pleaded guilty at Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court.
A Ballina man has pleaded guilty to exposing his penis in public twice in the same day.
Martin McDonagh, aged 26, of Mount Assumpta, Ballina pleaded guilty at Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court to charges of indecent exposure.
McDonagh has been in custody on these matters since February.
On September 30, 2025, at Pearse Street Ballina, McDonagh pulled down his trousers and rubbed his penis in the presence of others.
On the same date, at Bunree Road, Ballina, McDonagh exposed his penis in front of members of the public.
The court heard he has previous convictions but not for offences of this nature.
Barrister Mark Ryan said his client was intoxicated on the day.
Judge Eoin Garavan adjourned sentencing to Monday, October 12.
