Congratulations: Mayo native honoured at one of Europe's most prestigious gatherings

Claremorris native Luke Gibbons, who was recently honoured with one of Europe's highest diplomatic honours at the Warsaw Security Forum 2025 – one of Europe’s most prestigious gatherings on diplomacy and global security.
Luke, who had just submitted his PhD thesis at Trinity College Dublin, received an Honours Diploma in Diplomacy from the European Academy of Young Diplomats, graduating as a Casimir Pulaski Scholar and the only Irish representative in this year’s international cohort.
The honour was presented in Warsaw in the presence of global leaders, including Polish President Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
