Congratulations: Doctor with Mayo roots graduates with a PhD from University of Glasgow

Congratulations to Dr Nadine McLaughlin, who has recently graduated from the University of Glasgow in December 2025 with a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Nadine is the granddaughter of the late Una McLaughlin (née Battle) from Corcoran Terrace, Ballina, Co. Mayo. She is extremely proud of her Mayo roots and of her grandmother, who was a constant source of encouragement and support throughout her long journey towards achieving her doctorate.
Sadly, Una passed away in March 2022 and would have loved to have been there on the day to share in this very special achievement. Nadine is currently working with the NHS in Glasgow, delivering much-needed psychological support services to the community.
