BREAKING: Second recount complete in Swinford, result is in

Neil Cruise, John Caulfield and Adrian Forkan have been elected in Swinford following a second recount.

After the initial count and the first recount, just one vote separated Cruise from John Sheahan.

Returning Officer John Condon said a request for a second recount was accepted to be 'doubly sure' of the result.

He announced the fifth and final count once more:

Caulfield, John +42, 1,643

Cruise, Neil +4, 1,637

Forkan, Adrian +4 1,667

Sheahan, John +20, 1,636

Sheahan was excluded and the remaining candidates were deemed elected.

Gerry Murray had already been elected on the third count.
