Bonniconlon Show gets underway today

More than 25,000 people are expected to attend today's Bonniconlon Show.

The show, which is the second-largest agricultural show in Ireland, offers a number of activities, including a dog show, horse and pony lunging, sheepdog trials, the All-Ireland Calf finals, and not to forget the crowning of the Rose of Bonniconlon ‘Queen of the Show.’

Mike Denver will be among the special guests to perform during the highly anticipated show - he is scheduled to sing from 3pm to 5pm.

The show will also have an FMX stunt show returning this year. Local stuntman Evan Mullarkey and his team will perform amazing stunts to capture the attention of thousands.

The inclement weather at the weekend has not deterred organisers. The hard-working team behind the show will be providing additional car park areas and a shuttle bus will run hourly from Ballina Cathedral to the Bonniconlon Showgrounds.
