Well known auctioneer, farming consultant, GAA stalwart and community activist Billy Heffron is to launch his memoir ‘Fighting the Good Fight - a life of Community and Conviction in County Mayo’, at the Great National Hotel, Ballina on Friday, August 21, at 7pm.
The book will be launched by acclaimed Mayo journalist Christy Loftus and all are welcome to attend. Fighting the Good Fight is Billy’s remarkable moving and often hilarious life story, charting his journey from his upbringing in Moygownagh to a lifetime of involvement in farming community development, politics, business and the GAA. Co-written with journalist Edwin McGreal, Fighting the Good Fight will be available throughout Mayo and online on mayobooks.ie following the launch.
