Best wishes: Mayo man celebrates recent retirement

Davy O’Toole, from Dooghmakeon in Louisburgh, spent the last day of 2025 delivering post on his native patch. 

Davy, who retired from An Post after 25 years, has spent his whole life working with people but he also had a great passion for animals, and working with horses was his greatest love. 

He will now have ample time to pursue his many hobbies and will even get to enjoy more time following his favourite sport, rugby. 

Davy will be missed in the postal service, especially by all his colleagues in Westport Delivery Service Unit for his wit and fun comments.
