'Barely visible' - Penalty notice issued to Mayo road user last night

Mayo Roads Policing were on Patrol yesterday evening on a busy and wet N5 near Bohola, when they encountered an agricultural vehicle with no working side lamps, rear lamps, or stop lamps.
The vehicle also had no reflective rear markings on its trailer and no flashing beacons, therefore making it barely visible to other road users.
An Garda Síochána Mayo stated: "On speaking with the driver, the beacons were in working order once he turned them on, but the same can't be said for the rear/side/ stop lamps or reflective markings, which resulted in this driver receiving a fixed charge penalty notice."
