Ballina road motorist detected driving above the speed limit

While conducting a speed checkpoint, Gardaí attached to Ballina Community Engagement Area detected a motorist travelling at 89kph in 60kph zone.
A Fixed Charge Notice and three penalty points have been issued to the driver.
An Garda Síochána Mayo have reminded motorists that, in the interest of the safety of all road users, they ask that you drive safely and adhere to speed limits.
