ALERT: Major Mayo event scheduled for this weekend is postponed
"Unfortunately conditions this weekend were not ideal"
The hugely successful Mayo Mayhem Windsurfing event, which was due to take place this weekend, has been postponed to the following weekend of the 3rd - 5th October.
The event said, "Unfortunately, conditions this weekend were not ideal with light or no winds forecast and an unfavourable wind direction."
Organiser Malcolm Scott has noted there is a big weather system approaching next weekend, which should allow for three days of top-class conditions and windsurfing.
