Taking place on July 6th, 2024, the Achill Half Marathon and 10K is one of the most popular fixtures on the national running calendar.
Since its inception, the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation has been dedicated to funding, supporting, developing and providing palliative care services to individuals and their families facing life-limiting illnesses. Since 1993, the organisation has offered vital palliative care services, hospice care, and support to over 20,000 patients and their families in the Mayo and Roscommon regions.
Martina Jennings, CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, said:
“By participating in this event, you are supporting the work that we do at Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. That is, ensuring patients with life limiting illnesses from Mayo and Roscommon have the best possible facilities, where they can be cared for with dignity and respect and that their families also receive the support they require. All of the funds raised throughout this event will go towards sustaining and expanding these vital services in our hospices and the community..
Patricia Joyce, Chairperson of the Achill Half Marathon and 10K, said: "We're on a mission to make every step count for a cause we believe in."
