A man has died in a fire in Ballina this morning
It is understood that a man has died in a fire this morning in Ballina.
The incident occurred at a premises on Tolan Street and it is understood that the fire broke out over the Boyle Sports betting shop.
The emergency services were alerted around 7.30am this morning. The street is currently cordoned off and members of the Gardaí and fire services remain at the scene.
A number of people are said to have been brought to Mayo University Hospital from the scene. The extent of their injuries is not known.
