Met Éireann issues warning for 'strong and gusty' winds in three counties

Met Éireann has issued a warning for "strong and gusty" winds in three counties on Sunday.

The warning for counties Clare, Galway and Kerry will come into effect at 9pm on Sunday and will last until 6am on Monday.

The weather agency is warning of difficult travelling conditions and possible debris and loose objects being displaced.

Elsewhere, Saturday is forecast to be a day of scattered showers, some turning heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. Met Éireann said the showers will gradually die out through the afternoon and evening, with more widespread sunny spells developing.

It will becoming wet and blustery on Sunday morning with rain spreading northeastwards, according to Met Éireann. The rain will clear eastwards in the afternoon, followed by sunny spells and showers.

The weather will continue unsettled next week with strong winds at times and spells of heavy rain and showers.
