Mayo woman Éadaion to play Monroe's

Balla’s Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín is set to commence her latest Irish tour in Monroe’s in Galway on Thursday, October 8th. Her up and coming band, Astro Bloc, is a major attraction on the European stage with nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram. The Galway gig is their only appearance west of the Shannon and they go on from there to Derry and Dublin.

Playing a mix of Irish Traditional music and Scottish folk their latest single, Haunted, will be released just prior to their Galway gig. Following their Irish tour they jet off on a six-week tour of Germany and Switzerland.

Éadaoin has played on major stages throughout the globe - from London to Helsinki, from Broadway in New York to China, from Uzbekistan to New Zealand. She has played on stage with The Corrs, Frankie Gavin, Lord of the Dance and David Geaney’s Velocity to name but a few.

Speaking of the tour Éadaoin says that “it feels particularly special to be bringing Astro Bloc to Monroe’s".

"The band is best described as traditional music from both sides of the Irish Sea with a blend of Scottish contemporary folk," she explained.
