Man (50s) arrested after €114k of drugs seized in Cork and Waterford

A man has been arrested after €114,200 of cannabis was seized in counties Cork and Waterford.
This follows searches by the Waterford County Drug Unit and the Cork City Drug Unit conducted a number of searches on Wednesday.
A vehicle and two residences were searched in Co. Cork and Co. Waterford, resulting in the seizure of suspected cannabis herb to the value of €114,200.
A man in his 50s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Cork City.
He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
