Of those children, 27 were categorised as Separated Children Seeking International Protection (SCSIP).

In total, 296 children went missing in 2025, an increase from 282 in 2024.

Most of these young people reported as ‘missing’ return to their placement after a brief period of time and remain in a safe and caring environment.
