Lorraine Keane wows brides-to-be at Wedding Expo

Prospective brides – and some brave grooms – flocked to the Wedding Expo at the Ocean Sands Hotel in Enniscrone early in January. Special guest, the glamorous IFTA nominated broadcaster and journalist Lorraine Keane, looked stunning in a designer raspberry red dress and was a fountain of useful advice and tips for all the brides-to-be.

Couples took the opportunity to find out everything the Ocean Sands has to offer and take a tour of the function rooms and, of course, the fabulous bridal suite too. More than 50 wedding suppliers showcased their talents and wares at the Expo giving an ideal opportunity to see all the options in the same place. Wedding couples were able to see and book everything they needed for their big day from photographers and videographers to flowers, entertainment and make-up.

The main stage was busy all afternoon with a series of fascinating presentations on everything to do with weddings. Last on stage was Lorraine Keane and the hotel's wedding co-ordinator Olivia. Lorraine was incredibly generous with her advice – all of which was aimed at helping couples keep their feet on the ground and within budget while having the best day of their lives. Recently married makeup artist Selina G shared stories about her very special day, and both were quite frank about things that didn’t quite go right! Neither were at all fazed by wedding cars not turning up or the chosen colours of wedding flowers being lost in translation – the hiccups just became part of the story of the best day of their lives.
