Kilglass Enniscrone FC are league champions

The weekend of Saturday, March 8, was a big one for the senior men from Kilglass Enniscrone FC. With two games remaining in the league they needed 1 point to confirm them as league champions. However, if they were to lose those last 2 games the chasing Coolaney United could catch them, assuming they won their least 3 games.

The Kilglass Enniscrone lads were all set for their match on Saturday evening away to Dromahair but it turned out Dromahair conceded the game, unable to field. On Sunday, March 9, Coolaney also failed to keep the pressure on losing at home to Strand Celtic Reserves. This all means the KEUFC senior men are Premier League Champions for the 1st time since 2005.

A brilliant run of 13 wins in a row blew away the opposition and they could afford the hiccup against Ballygawley.

Kilglass Enniscrone lads have their last game on Sunday, March 30, at home to Real Tubber and they will be presented the Championship Trophy at the end of that game. Well done to the lads on an incredible season.
