Cèide Coast Atlantic Run 

 Ballycastle Athletic Club held a very successful Cèide Coast Atlantic Run on Saturday, September 20, with 474 athletes taking part, comprising of local, national and international athletes. This year also saw the introduction of a 3k fun run. The local community came out in force to encourage the athletes in the races, steward and marshall the course and provide well earned refreshments in the hall when the race was ended. Ballycastle Athletic Club extends their sincere thanks to the athletes and their supporters, their sponsors, the Ballycastle/Belderrig Community and anyone who helped in any way to make the event such a great success.

Pub Quiz

A table quiz will be held in Healy's on Friday, October 3, starting at 8.30pm. The cost is €10 per person and there will be raffles and prizes. All proceeds will be donated to St. Brigid's LGFA.

GAA 50/50

Congratulations to Eddie Scott, last week's winner of €200 in the GAA 50/50 draw.

Crossmolina.

Lotto

There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday, September 13, when the draw was held in Moores. The numbers drawn were 6, 10, 31 and 35. One person matched three numbers Darragh and Alison Quinn, Ballina, and they won €150.

The numbers drawn on Saturday, September 20, were 19, 25, 27, and 33, when the draw was held in Hineys. Eamon Sweeney matched 3 numbers and won €150. The jackpot in the latest lotto which was held on Saturday, September 27, was €4,650.

Kilmurry 25 Card Drive

Kilmurry 25 card drive will resume for the winter season on Thursday, October 16, at 9pm with all the usual prizes and refreshments.

Development Draw winner

The Club Development Draw took place in Ballintubber GAA Club house on Saturday night, September 13, and Crossmolina Club had one winner Eithne Cosgrove, Ballina Rd., Crossmolina, who won €200.

Crossmolina Town Hall

Upcoming events during the month of October will include dance fitness with Carmel commencing on Wednesday, October 1, at 7pm. It will be easy to follow dance routines to a variety of music. Tel: 086 3158009 for further details. On Thursday, October 23, there will be a children’s Halloween disco.

November events will include a Kid’s Club every Monday from 3.15-4.45pm commencing on November 3, in school term. On Sunday, November 9, Step it out social dance from 7– 9.30pm and on Friday, November 21, there will be Folk & Craic.

December will see Kilmurry NS Christmas Concert taking place on Thursday, December 4; Sunday, December 7, Moffatt School Dancing Christmas Show; Sunday 14, Brunch with Santa Claus (after Mass) and Sunday, December 14, Step it out social dance from 7-9.30pm.

Flu and Covid 19 booster clinic

The Deel Medical Centre, Crossmolina, will be commencing Flu and Covid 19 booster clinics from October to all eligible patients. Nasal flu vaccines, for all children aged between 2 and 17 will also be available. It must be at least 3 months since your last Covid 19 vaccine or infection before you can get the booster. Call 096 56096 to book your appointment.

Funeral Ministry

The Diocese is now running another course in Funeral Ministry for 12 weeks for anyone who would like to get involved in this ministry. If you are interested, contact Fr Francis.
