Rovers Bow Out

Although MacHale Rovers bowed out gracefully from the County LGFA Intermediate Cup final last weekend all involved and connected to the team may feel justifiably proud of their efforts. From start to finish the team put in a herculean display against a very formidable Claremorris team. Rovers possess a fine blend of youth and experience throughout its ranks and this was adequately reflected in the all-round performance of the team which played a stylish and exciting mixture of football. This augurs well for the team and management as a whole who can now look forward to building on this performance and the experience garnered over the past season. There is no doubt that this current crop of young Rovers players will be at the forefront of Mayo ladies football in the not too distant future. It is the very least they deserve.
