The Kilglass Enniscrone Utd Fc U16 boys faced Dromahair at sunny Michael McGowan Park on Saturday, May 10, looking to further their title ambitions. The teams were fairly even early on as each side probed for an opening. It was the home side who struck first on 10 minutes as Oisin Corcoran ran onto a through ball and placed a shot into the corner. Dromahair continued to cause the Kilglass Enniscrone boys problems, but the defence held firm, as they doubled their lead on 25 minutes as Calum Durcan raced through to calmly slot the ball past the on-running keeper. The score at half time was 2-0.
The home team started strongly in the second half, and Oisin Corcoran got his second, tapping in unmarked from 10 metres out after great work from Cathal Finnerty. The boys had hit their stride now, and chances kept coming with Oisin Corcoran completing his hat-trick and Calum Durcan rifling in an unstoppable shot from the corner of the box. More chances came and went, but it was Dromahair who scored a late consolation goal. Another win in the bag and only 2 more needed.
