The Lotto results There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night, February 9, in Cooney’s, when the numbers 18, 26, 30 and 35 were drawn. No punter matched three numbers and three tickets were drawn: Sean Gough, Netley, Crossmolina; Clara Loftus, St Mary’s Park, Crossmolina; and North West Fitness, Crossmolina Buisness Park, Ballina Rd. The jackpot in the latest draw which was held on Saturday, February 15, was €8,850. Many thanks for your continued support.

Kilmurry 25 drive

The following are the results of the weekly session which was held on Thursday night; Best of 20 games 1st Helen and Sean Keane, 2nd Eugene Granahan and Kevin O’Boyle, 3rd PJ and Breege McNamara. Jungle Challenge Show

Crossmolina Soccer Club is holding a Jungle Challenge Show in Hotel Great National Ballina for its pitch development fundraiser. The event will take place on March 8, and is based on the "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here" game show. Tickets are on sale in Hineys, Tolans and O’ Donnell's Centra for €20 and from club members.

Home is the Hero

Ardagh Community Players are deep in rehearsals for their upcoming production of 'Home is the Hero' by Walter Macken. Come along to Ardagh Community Centre at 8pm each night for another wonderful production on Thursday, March 6 and Friday 7. The Ardagh Players are very well respected in drama circles for their numerous entertaining and well staged productions over the years. This year's production promises to be equally, if not more, entertaining. Tickets on sale at the door.

County players

Ardagh GAA Club officers have congratulated Ella Connell and Molly Gallagher both of whom played with Mayo ladies U14 football team in a challenge game against Laois last week. Well done Ella and Molly.

Collection

Ardagh Social Services thank all who generously contributed to their recent church gate collection. A total of €459 was collected.

Bingo

Bingo on Saturday night in the community centre commences at 8pm, and there will be prizes galore on the night.

Lotto

Social and Line Dance classes

Activator Poles Walking Club

Lacken is in pole position this week as Ray McNamara from Mayo Sports Partnership announced that they are selected as one of their new locations for the very popular walking programme funded by Mayo CoCo. The 6 week programme will be lead by Brian Glacken (Tonnta Adventures) and poles will be supplied by Mayo Sports Partnership. This is suitable for all age groups, and Brian will accompany the walking group along a route around the area (normally an hours activity). Some weeks the group will start at Lacken Community Garden and other weeks at Lacken Enterprise Centre. The walks will focus on good posture, active engagement of the arms and upper body, improved stride and incorporate activities to improve mobility, strength and balance. Further details will be announced soon.

Recent death

The sudden death took place last week of Bridie McGarry, Green Park, Killala. Her remains reposed in Lynn’s Funeral Home, Killala on Monday evening and requiem Mass was Tuesday at 12 noon in Killala Parish church and buried in Killala cemetery. May her soul rest in peace.
