Congratulations to Grainne Gough and Martin Bourke, Ballina Tennis Club, on their recent competition success at the Connacht Tennis championships. Grainne also doubles up as the very efficient and hardworking publicity co-ordinator at Ardagh GAA Club. Well done, Grainne.
Ardagh Social Services will host a coffee morning in Ardagh Community Centre next Sunday, June 1, after 11am Mass in aid of Foxford Alzheimer's Community Trust. Come along for light refreshments, home baking, a chat and support this worthy cause.
Ardagh GAA Club's monthly jackpot draw currently stands at €5,100. There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday, May 17, in Maughan’s Bar. The numbers drawn were 6, 14, 19 and 22. Chris Myles, Sligo, matched three numbers and won €150. The jackpot in the latest draw which was held on May 24, was €4,800.

Well done to Carn NS girls team who won the county semi-final in Cumann na mBunscol. They defeated Manulla NS in the semi-final and are now through to play Carramore NS in the Division 5 county final which will be played in Hastings McHale Park.

Hillary hosted her 1st cookery class on Monday, May26, in The Enterprise Centre. The menu this week included boxty, smoked mackerel, crab cakes and lime and chive Mayo. The June date will be announced later.
Craftsman, Tom Deleaney @ouldcrafty will run a 2 day workshop in Lacken on June 11 and 12. He will guide participants through the process of weaving with willow to create a traditional style shopping basket. The course is full.
Lacken Community Games athletics evening will take place in Lacken pitch on Thursday, June 5, at 5pm. There will be track races, ball throw and the long puck for children aged 6 to 16, as well as novelty races and games on the day to include U6s.
Brian, the walking guide will meet the Lacken Walking Group on Monday, June 9, at 10am at The Enterprise Centre. Poles are provided and this is a free event organised by Lacken Community Care. They welcome walkers from neighbouring parishes and all levels of fitness are welcome.

Due to extensive electrical works being carried out in Killala Community Centre the dining room was closed from May 19-23 but all services resume this week.
