Ardagh secured a well-earned 1-17 to 2-9 victory over Shrule-Glencorrib in the Mayo senior football league last weekend. Meanwhile, Ardagh B have home advantage over rivals Islandeady B when they take to the field next Saturday evening, May 30, at 7.30pm in the Mayo premier junior C football championship. Club officials are urging their supporters to come out in large numbers for what should be a keenly-contested fixture. Those attending are asked to heed the advice of club stewards when parking, etc.
Time is fast approaching for Ardagh GAA Club's annual summer camp which will be held from July 13-16 inclusive at the club grounds. Three action-packed days of GAA, soccer, rounders, tag rugby, dodgeball and numerous other fun activities. To secure your child's place please phone James at 087 3215229. Camp coordinators are Jenny Kelly and James Carr. Lots of fun loving and jam packed activities to be enjoyed.
A timely reminder that the Lisheen/Cooneal/Crossmolina Cycling Club members will undertake their annual memorial charity cycle next Monday (Bank Holiday) June 1. The charity cycle, which is in memory of Brian Cawley, Patrick McHale and Christine Irwin, will start from Ardagh Community Centre (Eircode F26 W521) commencing at 10am. The cycle is suitable for all levels with a 50k route around the beautiful Lough Conn and a 30k route from Ardagh into Knockmore along a level course. Refreshments served afterwards for everyone.
Ardagh Community Centre will host the annual coffee morning in aid of Foxford Alzheimer's Community Trust this coming Sunday, May 31, starting at 11.30am in Ardagh Community Centre. All support will be greatly appreciated.
