Silver medal for CLG Coillte Mach

Comhghairdeas le CLG Coillte Mach ar bronnadh Bonn Airgid orthu i bPáirc an Chrócaigh.

Bhí Aingeal Uí Mhaicín agus Micheál Ó Riain ansin chun glacadh leis an mbonn a bronnadh orthu faoi scéim Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Donnacha. Fuair siad an Bonn Airgid don méid oibre a déanadh sa chlub ar mhaithe le dul chun cinn na Gaeilge. Le trí bliain anuas, tá an tuafás oibre déanta acu ag cothú agus ag cur chun cinn na teanga.

It was a proud night for CLG Coillte Mach in Croke Park recently when the club was presented with a silver medal for their promotion and fostering of the Irish language. Aingeal Uí Mhaicín agus Mike Ryan were there to accept the medal on behalf of the club which was awarded under the auspices of Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Donnacha.

The club had received the bronze medal last year and Gradam na Gaeilge at the Mayo People of the Year recently so this latest accolade was the icing on the cake.

Trojan efforts have been made by the club in the past year where everybody embraced the concept of promoting and fostering the language. Highlight of the Year was the Lá Teaghlaigh during the summer. Gaeilge is now central to all aspects of club activities from meetings, signage, coaching and providing opportunities for all to use whatever Gaeilge they have.
