Pretty wedding

Congratulations to Aoife Sweeney, daughter of Liam and Patricia Sweeney Ballinasleva, Knockmore and Gary Kenny, Co Longford who were married in a beautiful ceremony in Christ the King Church in Knockmore on Friday, May 29th.

Bridesmaids were Shauna Sweeney, Nicola Sweeney, Shauna Bourke and Mini Bridesmaid was Emma Kenny. Flower girl was Saoirse Farrelly. Groomsmen were Stephen O'Farrell, Stephen Kenny and Thomas McGann and Junior Groomsman was Shane Kenny. Music and singing for the ceremony was provided by family members and friends.

The ceremony was performed by Fr Michael Reilly and was attended by a large number of family and friends.

The happy couple are wished every happiness and blessings for their future years together.

Large numbers attend Exam Mass

Large numbers of students, parents and family members attended the special Exam Mass con-celebrated on Sunday last, May 31, in Christ the King Church, Knockmore. Students participated in the music, singing readings etc. 

Special thanks to the Parish Council members and to all who prepared for the occasion and served the refreshments afterwards. It was much appreciated.

Sympathy 

We extend our deepest sympathy to Marie Durkan, Tavanaghmore on the sad passing of her brother Michael Fox, Manchester. 

Sympathy also to Oliver McVann on the recent passing of his father, Michael McVann, Claremorris and to Christina Reddington, Gortnadreha on the recent death of her brother Paddy McMahon, London. 

May they all rest in peace.

Cemetery Masses

The Annual Cemetery Mass in Ballinahaglish is on Sunday, August 2nd and in Cloghans on Sunday, August 9th, both at 6pm.

Currabaggan NS Lotto

The numbers drawn in the recent Currabaggan National School Online Lotto were 12, 13, 17 and 20, and there was no jackpot winner. 

The €25 weekly winner was Ailish Coleman.

Conn Rangers Lotto 

The numbers drawn in the Conn Rangers Lotto on May 25 were 10, 17, 28 and 32. There was no jackpot winner. 

Weekly and season winners were Patricia Flynn, Adrian Forde, Donnacha Ryder, Anita McVann, Pat Langan and Adam Gallagher. Lucky dip winner was Kevin Breslin. The next jackpot is €16,500. Your support is much appreciated.

Adoration

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament continues in every Wednesday in Knockmore Church from 10.30am to 6pm. All are welcome to drop in at anytime.

Knockmore Bingo

Bingo continues every Monday evening in the Community Hall in Knockmore. Valuable prizes to be won, refreshments served.

Resource Centre activities

Move it or Lose it takes place in Knockmore Resource Centre every Thursday morning at 10.30am. Yoga Class every Thursday evening at 6.45pm.

On Saturday, June 13, and Saturday, June 20, from 12noon to 4pm, there will be a workshop in handmade paper and mixed media collage. Pre-booking essential, contact the centre on 094-9258016.

Used Stamps

Don't forget to collect your used stamps. They are valuable for the MMM Missionary work in Kenya. They can be left in the porch in Knockmore Church.

GAA victory

Ballycastle enjoyed a victory over Achill by 3-5 to 1-10 in the Mayo Senior League Division 5 on Sunday, May 30.

Save the date 

The Cèide Coast Half Marathon and 10k coastal run will take place on Saturday, September 19, in Ballycastle.

Bonniconlon 

Lotto 

The jackpot for the Bonniconlon GAA Lotto on May 30 stood at €15,350 and the numbers drawn were 9, 10, 20 and 24. There was no jackpot winner.

The five winners of €40 each were Barbara Ginley, Bonniconlon; Michael Ginley, Bonniconlon; Martin Og Durcan, Bonniconlon; Alex Mescal, Knockmore; Tom Lawrence, Ballina.

The jackpot rose to €15,500 for the latest draw.
