AGM

Officers and committee members of Ardagh GAA Club are set to review and analyse their activities over the past year when they hold their annual general meeting next Sunday, February 8. Proceedings get underway at 6pm in the community centre and all club members, players, parents and supporters are all cordially invited to attend. Club officials will review a very successful year both on and off the pitch where their senior and underage structures had many successful achievements. Ardagh senior players clinched the Mayo senior league division 3 title by staving off the challenge of a much fancied Aghamore team in the final held at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park last July. Full marks to team manager Paul Moran and selectors Declan Kelly, Colm Mitchell; coach Sean Carey; stats Jack Strong and Sean O’Hora for their very valuable and productive input off the field. The hard working committee continued their ongoing ground and club developments with the main emphasis this year on the construction of a state-of-the-art gymnasium which is currently in the final stages of completion. It will be kitted with the most modern gym equipment which will be of great benefit to all players. Great work was also carried out on the club's main pitch during the year bringing the playing surface up to a high standard. Overall, a packed and very productive year to be reviewed.
