Car Design of the Year award for Mazda
The all-electric Mazda6e has been awarded the 2026 World Car Design of the Year.
Mazda has secured its third World Car Design of the Year title with the all-electric Mazda6e being awarded the 2026 World Car Design of the Year.
The award was officially revealed at the New York International Auto Show earlier this month.
Established in 2004, the World Car Awards are determined by an international jury of approximately 100 automotive journalists from 33 countries. For 2026, the Mazda6e was chosen from 90 eligible vehicles.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen’s ID Cross will debut in the European market in the second half of 2026, priced from around €28,000. This five-seater electric car targets customers seeking affordable, everyday mobility.
Pictured in Amsterdam with a camouflage wrap, the ID. Cross will provide flexible powertrain options with power levels of 114hp, 133hp, and 208hp, paired with battery sizes of 37 kWh and 52 kWh.
