Ardmoy Cul Camp

Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp will take place in Moygownagh from Monday, July 15, to Friday, July 19. The camp provided boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 13 with an action-packed and fun week of activity during the summer holidays with revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games. Cost €75 for 1st child, €60 for 2nd. Child and €50 for 3rd. and subsequent children. Each child will receive 1 Cul Camps Kit. Moygownagh Ramblers

Monday, July 8, is the provisional date for the Moygownagh Ramblers Road Trip, which will take the Rambler’s to Solas in Aughleam, St Deirbhile Well, Blacksod Lighthouse, plus a visit to Langan’s Home and Garden Centre. This will be a treat for all gardening enthusiasts. The upcoming day out is open to all parishioners and their friends. Congratulations to Ballycastle National School A team on winning the Colm Kenny Tournament on Saturday, June 22, in Tom Langan Park. Well done to the B team for a tremendous effort in the B Shield. Recent death

Knock Trip

The annual trip to Knock for Lacken, Killala and Cooneal parishes will take place on August 7,with lunch at Knock House Hotel, some free time and Fr Michael PP will celebrate Mass at 4pm at the Apparition Chapel. The cost is €25 per person which includes bus, lunch and refreshments on return home. Please leave your name and money into local church or Killala post office.

Hospice Coffee Morning

A coffee morning in memory of Liam Kelly in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice will be held in the Fáilte Room, Carrowmore Lacken F26TR82, beside Lacken Church on Sunday, July 7, from 10am to 1pm. All support is appreciated.

Mayo Mental Health Association

The Mayo Mental Health Association information centre in Bohernasup, Ballina is open in the community. They provide options, support and guidance for individuals and their families experiencing mental health difficulties. Killala Community Text Alert Scheme is up and running. The procedure is if you notice any suspicious activity you ring the Gardai on 096 20550 and they will decide if it warrants a text being sent to the scheme. If you are not already signed up it’s not too late, call to the community centre and fill up a form.

Meals on Wheels

Killala Community Council (Newstart) Ltd are running a Meals on Wheels service for Killala and surrounding areas. They aim to provide nourishing quality meals at an affordable price to any senior citizen who signs up. The meals will have two courses and can be collected or delivered. Orders can be taken up to 11.30 am each day. This service is available to anyone over 60 years or recovering from illness. Phone 096 32992 to book or for further information.
