Crossmolina secured their second win in this county U17 Grading League away to Westport on Sunday week with a final score of Crossmolina 3-15, Westport 2-10. The score does not reflect how closely contested it was for 50 minutes with just two points separating the sides at half time - the visitors 1-7 to 1-5, the goals coming from Kobe McDonald and Killian Conway on the stroke of half time. A string of points from Billy Loftus, Kobe McDonald, and Oisin Deane laid the foundation for this win. Evan Durkan grabbed his sides second goal after seven minutes but two late goals from Oisin Deane and cheeky lob from Sean Og McGuinness over the advancing keeper to close the scoring on a very entertaining free flowing game that had supporters of both sides on tender hooks throughout.
Congratulations to Jordan Flynn on being short listed for a PwC All-Star award. The gala black tie event will be staged in the RDS Dublin on Friday night, November 17.
Crossmolina Community Council hope that you gained something positive from attending the Crossmolina Parent, Guardian and Toddler Group. From feedback of the first year, the needs of the group will not be met entirely by the staff of the community council. The community council will continue to provide facilities but content, classes and activities will need to be led by the parents and guardians. With this in mind, all interested parents and guardians are invited to attend a meeting to decide a way forward.
The meeting will take place in the Conference Room, Enterprise Centre , Mullinmore Street, on Wednesday, October 11, at 8pm. The community nurse will be in attendance.
Coffee Day/Home Baking sale
