Local Notes: Five pupils from Owenbeg NS, Easkey, celebrated their First Holy Communion

Well done to the five pupils in second class from Owenbeg NS who celebrated their First Holy Communion recently pictured with Fr Hogan and their teachers.
The U11 Kilglass Enniscrone Utd team last game of the season was played against a very strong La Liga team, Ballisodare. They were due to play Boyle, so the Ballisodare was a hastily arranged game. The KEUFC team started really strongly and took the lead from a lovely strike off a well worked corner. The boys chased and worked really well. They kept it 1-1 at the break, but unfortunately for them the class of Ballisodare showed in the second half. The really exciting game was followed by a trip to McDonalds and this team has been improving each week and will be a top side next season.
On April 9 last the Kilglass Enniscrone Utd U14 and U16 girls team were out in force to support the Women’s Ireland team when they played England. It was a very exciting game for the girls despite the scoreboard, and all members has a great eventing away in Dublin. The club thank the coaches and parents who organised and travelled with them on the day.
