The following are the results of the weekly session on Thursday night. Best of 20 game’s 1st Michael Cawley and Michael McAndrew, 2nd Bernie Gilroy and John Gilger, 3rd John and Thomas Naughton. Raffle winners were; 1st Tom O’Malley, 2nd Bernie Gilroy and 3rd Jimmy Caden.
Crossmolina advanced to the county U21 final on Saturday last at a very windy St Tiernans on testing underfoot conditions after a night of very heavy rain and wind. The visitors played with the elements in the first half and Crossmolina created the most chances and lead at the break by 0-6 to 0-4 points coming from Diarmaid Walsh (3), Darragh Syron, Diarmaid and Niall Coggins one each. Parke/K/C scorers were Cian Donohoe two points and one from Sean Sweeny and Simran Singh with the wind assistance.
The hosts scored a string of points from Darragh Syron (3) and James Maheady and Diarmaid Fox one each before Danny McDonald tacked on 1-1. Darragh Reilly kept the West Mayo plugging away with three points and Sean Sweeney one before the Deel-Siders raised another five white flags in the closing minutes from James Maheady and Adam Mills two each and Danny McDonald one to run out comfortable winners end. The final score was Crossmolina 1-17, Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin 0-9.

There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night, December 9. The numbers drawn were 6, 7, 21 and 30. No punters matched three numbers and three tickets were drawn Kieran Gill, Rathmore, Crossmolina; Pat and Des Lavin, Kiltmagh; Johnny and Clare Loftus, Castlehill, and they each won €50. The draw took place in Cooney’s. This week’s jackpot is €8,550. Many thanks for your continued support.
The Folk and Craic Christmas night out is on in Cooney’s Bar, on Wednesday, December 27, and all are welcome.
Please join Crossmolina Agriculture Show for an Appreciation Night for all the help and support, on Thursday, December 28, at the Dolphin Hotel. There is a mulled wine reception from 7-9pm, followed by music and finger food. All welcome. A community to be enjoyed by all.

Abbeytown/Abbeyview Resident’s Association extend thanks to all that participated and supported the recent fundraising table quiz held in Maughan’s Pub, to all who helped out on the night and who sponsored the quiz prizes, to Maughan’s Bar who allowed them to host the event and to Eileen Rowland for providing finger food. Well done to the quiz winners, runners up and raffle winners on the night. Merry Christmas to you all from the Resident’s Association Committee.

Christmas Eve Mass will be celebrated in St. Cormac’s Church at 8pm and Christmas morning Mass at 11am.

Killala Community Council (Newstart) Ltd are running a Meals on Wheels service for Killala and surrounding areas. They aim to provide nourishing quality meals at an affordable price to any senior citizen who signs up. The meals will have two courses and can be collected costing €5 or delivered €6. St. Bridget’s Church, Ballycastle, will host Carols by Candlelight with the Moy Singers and local artists on Friday, December 22, at 7.30pm. Tickets are now available in St Bridget’s Church, from the sacristy after all Masses and will also be sold door to door. Tickets cost €15 and all who purchase will be entered into a draw for a €150 voucher. All proceeds go to St Bridget’s Church restoration fund.
Christmas Mass Bouquet cards are available after all Masses in St Bridget’s Church from the sacristy, and can also be purchased in Donnelly’s Post Office and John Burkes. Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning will be offered for all intentions on each card and the names will be placed at the Christmas Crib. All donations go towards St. Bridget’s Church restoration fund.
