There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night, February 24, in Sticks Bar. The numbers drawn were 7, 15, 19 and 29. Two punters matched three numbers; Paul Carney, Lacken and Aidan Crowley, Moylaw, Crossmolina, and they each win €75. The jackpot in the latest draw was €10,200.
The following are the results of the weekly session held on Thursday night in Kilmurry Centre. Best of 20 game;s 1st Michael Cawley and Eamon Moran, 2nd a tie Sean McDonnell and Frank McDonald, Ray and Mary McNamara; 3rd Liam Garvey and Vincent Crowley. Raffle winners were; 1st Anthony Donnelly, 2nd Des McDonnell, 3rd Darragh Sheridan. Hampers were won by Mary McNamara and Darragh Sheridan; 2nd Patrick Gilroy and Pakie Hefferon.
A social will be held in Kilmurry on Sunday evening, March 10, with dj Robert providing the music from 7 to 9pm. Refreshments served.

Congratulations to Ardmoy U13 players who were presented with their County U13 medals at a special club presentation in the community centre last weekend. It was a very special occasion for the young footballers who excelled in their grade during the county championship in 2023. Words of congratulations also to the U13 players who came third in the Connacht U13 skills test and the young footballers who represented their respective Ardagh and Moygownagh clubs on the county U13 team. Well done also to the team management for their invaluable input and guidance and county senior player James Carr for presenting the medals at the event.
Ardagh GAA officials thank everybody who attended the club's hugely successful Race Night in Bar Square, Ballina, last weekend. Special words of thanks and praise to William Barrett, Barrett Coach Hire, for acting as MC for the hugely successful event and making it so enjoyable for everyone and also the hardworking backroom team for making it such a worthwhile and beneficial fundraising occasion. Funds raised are earmarked for further development work at the club grounds.
Ardagh GAA Club's lotto committee plan to hold their first lotto draw of the year in the coming weeks. Annual tickets are now on sale and can be obtained from any committee member. The 12 monthly ticket, priced at €50, entitles the purchaser to select two sets of four numbers to win or share the jackpot. By supporting the lotto you are also supporting the club's ongoing and magnificent development work.
Throughout the duration of Lent, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held in Ardagh Church each weekday morning from 9-9.45am. The Rosary will be recited each morning at 9am for world peace. Lenten prayer booklets, "Walk with Me," are available free in the church and parishioners are encouraged to take one. One book per family.
2024 annual membership for Ardagh GAA is now open to all club followers. Supporters can now purchase their membership online at www.foireann.ie. Club officials urge supporters to subscribe if at all possible as it is a continuous financial streamline in assisting with costs incurred in running the club and its many underage and senior teams.

The death has taken place of Kathleen Fitzpatrick nee Sheerin, Derryguillinane, Corroy, and formerly Bradford, West Yorkshire. Her remains reposed at McGowan’s Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, February 28, with removal taking place afterwards to St Teresa s Church, Rathduff. Her 11 requiem Mass was celebrated on Thursday with her burial taking place afterwards in Cloghans cemetery.
Kathleen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her many friends and neighbours but especially by her last remaining siblings - her sister Una and brother Frank. She was predeceased by her husband Brendan and daughter Caroline, parents John and Mary and brothers Val, Jack and Damian. May she now rest in peace.
The numbers drawn on February 19, were 3, 9, 19 and 34. There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Kathleen Ferguson, Joe Faughnan, Marion Murphy, David Timlin, Jonathan Kelly and Brendan Forde. Lucky dip winner was Michael Gawalkiewicz.

Two events will be staged over the St Patrick's weekend in Knockmore by the Knockmore/Foxford Boxing Club (KFC). On Saturday evening, March 16, the Annual Vincie James Tournament will be staged in the community hall, commencing at 8am. All experienced KFC boxers and a couple of underage boxers will fill the program versus clubs from throughout Mayo. On Monday morning at noon an underage only event will be held in the same venue and the local club will have at least 10 boxers involved.
