A Christmas Craft Fair is being held in Kilmovee Community Centre on December 13, from 11am to 2pm. Admission is free and your support will be appreciated.
The Kilmovee Community Christmas Lunch takes place on Sunday, December 14, with lunch being served at 1pm. It will be a festive day with carol singers, crackers and a lovely 2 course lunch followed by tea, coffee and mince pies, dancing and drinks. The cost is €20 per person. To book your place, choose your menu and arrange payment, call Kilmovee Community Centre on 094 964 9484. There will be live music from 2.30 to 4.30pm.
The blessing of the Crib in Kilkelly takes place on Friday, December 12, at 7pm and Santa will come back for another visit on his sleigh. Come along and enjoy the fun.
The annual Christmas Bingo will be held on Sunday, December 14, at 8.30pm. There are loads of valuable prizes on offer on the night, with lots of surprises. The current jackpot is €2,000 on 53 calls or less and the house lotto was won by a lucky patron last week and it resumes at €400 on 4 correct numbers and increases by €40 per week until it is won. There is also a 50/50 draw with a guaranteed winner on the night.

The 19th edition of Kilkelly Kilmovee Parish Magazine that was launched with wonderful support from the locality on Sunday, October 26, at Ireland West Airport will be featured on Henry McGlade's TV Ireland Show on Sky Channel 588 on Tuesday, December 16, at 8.30pm. The death took place of Annie Regan, Cloonfane, Charlestown peacefully at Blackrocks Nursing Home, Foxford in her 98th year. Annie was predeceased by her husband Tommy and her son John, and is survived by her daughters Bernadette, Ann and Pauline, sons-in-law Vincent and John, daughter-in-law Katherine, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Annie reposed in the Horkan’s Funeral Home, Charlestown, on Tuesday, December 2, followed by removal to St James’s Church, Carracastle. Mass of the Resurrection was held on Wednesday, December 3, at 12 noon followed by interment in Carracastle cemetery. May Annie rest in peace as sympathy is extended to all who are bereaved by her passing.
The transition year students of St Nathys College, Ballaghaderreen, visited the Technological University of Shannon, Athlone last week where they enjoyed a guided tour of the state-of-the-art International Arena, followed by a series of interactive sessions with the Faculty of Business and Hospitality. During the sessions, the TY students debated the age-old question; Is a Jaffa Cake legally a biscuit or a cake? They also explored the impact of digital marketing on consumer behaviour – a particularly relevant topic during the Black Friday season.
The transition year students of St Nathy’s College, have been busily rehearsing for their upcoming school musical, Billie E, which takes people back in time to the Miners’ Strike in England. Mark your calendars for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 12, 13, and 14. It will be three unforgettable nights of music, movement and magic.
The U15 girls soccer team from St Nathys defeated Castlerea in their first game of the season. All the girls gave a solid performance, especially the first year players who stepped up on the day for their first school soccer match. Well done to all.

Routes typically take just 1-2 hours to complete. Join an amazing team of volunteers who are changing lives. Many of the seniors say the delivery driver is the only person they see all day.
