Culture Night in Ballyglass

To mark Culture Night on September the 19, Ballyglass Community Centre was the venue for a Black Pudding Night. There were songs and stories, some Irish dancing and some delicious black pudding and brown bread. His son Martin performed some of his own poems, while James and Bridget Keaveney sang a selection of their father’s songs, written many years ago. Bernadette Keaveney was there to enjoy the night too. Well done to all of the performers, to the helpers in the kitchen and to everyone who came along on the night. Special thanks to Nora Conroy, who organised the night and whose commitment to reviving the music of Michael Keaveney made for a very special evening, much enjoyed by all in attendance.
