Westport Library to host a talk on Night Sky
Westport Library will host a talk on the Night Sky as part of 2024 Irish Astronomy Week.
Westport-based photographer and astronomer András Csaplár will give a talk in Westport Library on Wednesday, March 13th, at 7pm on the Night Sky as part of the 2024 Irish Astronomy Week.
Mayo is home to Ireland’s first International Dark Sky Park, which boasts some of the darkest, most pristine skies in the world. This event is free and open to astronomers of all ages.
Meanwhile, Westport Library is encouraging new members to join as part of Ireland Reads Day on February 24th next. Library membership is now free, and fines and fees have been abolished. For more information, call Westport Library on 098-25747.
