, while and on Saturday, January 18th, Gerry Fish, the former frontman of An Emotional Fish, will bring all his all theatrical brilliance to the performance of his first new album in 15 years.is a new dark comedy in which we meet Declan who lives on his own, but is never alone. He wants to prove to himself, and to his constant companion, that he has got what it takes. After years of suffering from a lack of confidence he has decided to “go for it” and audition for a talent show. As Declan wrestles with the other presence in his life, we are dragged back into East Cork/West Waterford in the late 1960s to witness his attempts to enter the church, cope with his infatuations, and triumph over this negative friend. The play is presented as part of First Fortnight Festival 2025.
Jerry Fish has captivated audiences worldwide since the 1990s, initially as the frontman of An Emotional Fish. The indie legend has recently returned to music with his first album in 15 years,
, featuring MayKay (Fight Like Apes), which was released last November.
