In the Shadow of the Glen

by J.M Synge is a classic Irish play, which brings to life a theme of loneliness and isolation in 1900s' rural Ireland with humour and drama in equal measure. Nora Burke is left alone in an isolated cottage after the death of her husband Dan. A wandering Ttramp provides some comfort, but a neighbouring farmer Micheal Dara has other plans. All is not as it seems though, as the play unfolds.
