As Westport marks 50 years of its unique arts festival, Westival, in partnership with Tertulia Bookshop, invites you to be part of something truly special.

Echoes of Westport is a a commemorative collection of stories and memories celebrating the spirit of Westport and the festival that has shaped the town’s creative soul.

Whether it’s a treasured memory, a fictional tale inspired by Westport, or a story handed down through generations, they want to hear your voice.

Submit your story (maximum of 500 words) - real or imagined - for a chance to be featured in a published book, Echoes of Westport – A Celebration of Stories and Memories.

Memoir or fiction accepted. Text only, no images. The deadline is midnight on July 31. Submit at: forms.gle/B8F3CuBHRaPXt7z19

A panel of local writers, book reviewers and editors will select the top 50 entries to be published in the book, which will be launched during Westival. But that’s not all - every submission will be displayed at the launch event for attendees to read.

The book launch on Thursday, October 23rd, will include readings from selected stories, live music and refreshments and all submissions on display.

Whether you’re a seasoned storyteller or trying something new, there’s a place for your voice in this community celebration.
