Movie buffs and music fans can relive the soundtrack of their lives this Saturday, February 21, when the ‘Movie Icons Show’ visits Ballina Arts Centre for the first time.
This live show celebrates the greatest songs to hit the silver screen, and features music from , and many, many more.
Journey with an amazing band through the soundtracks of some of cinema’s most memorable moments. If you love movies, and the music that made them unforgettable, this show is guaranteed to have you rocking in your seat. Meanwhile, Adrian Crowley has been busy over the last twelve months, a year which saw his song feature on the soundtrack of the Netflix show in the company of music from star Irish acts such as The Stunning, Thin Lizzy and Fontaines D.C.
A Ballina show is next in his sights at the end of February.
The prolific recording artist and revered songwriter from Galway saw the release of his tenth album a year ago, full of delicate nocturnal songs.
Receiving high praise from Cerys Mathews (BBC Radio 6 Music), Jim Barr (Portishead), Cora Venus Lunny, Nadine Khouri and John Parrish are also heard on the long-player. John is a long-time friend of Adrian’s and produced .
During 2025, Adrian also featured in at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
A Choice Music Prize winner who is known for a uniquely dark poetic sensibility and an arrestingly resonant voice, he will present an intimate show in TheNCF Cultural Co-op, 5, Pearse Street, Ballina on Saturday, February 28 at 8pm. This small venue, with a capacity of just 50 people, is located across the road from The Jackie Clarke Collection in the town centre.
