Declan’s Got Talent is Fight2Flight Theatre’s latest offering. In this new dark comedy by Peter Gowen, we meet Declan who lives on his own, but is never alone. He wants to prove to himself, and his constant companion, that he has got what it takes.
After years of suffering from a lack of confidence, he has decided to 'go for it', and we see him preparing for his upcoming audition on a talent show. As he wrestles with the other presence in his life we are dragged back into East Cork/West Waterford in the late 1960s where we follow Declan attempting to enter the church, cope with his infatuations, and triumph over this negative friend. The play is presented as part of First Fortnight Festival 2025.
The other show for which dinner theatre tables are available is Jerry Fish who has captivated audiences worldwide since the 1990s as the front man of An Emotional Fish. The indie legend has recently returned to music with his first album in 15 years. Released last month,
, featuring MayKay (Fight Like Apes), is a tribute to the late Daniel Johnston whose songs inspire Jerry’s live performances.Known for his theatrical shows blending music, carnival, and circus, Jerry’s performances are always special, and audiences can look forward to tracks from the album as well as fan favourites.
