Ballina businesses to get digital marketing boost at Lunch & Learn event

The event will be hosted at The Cot & Cobble located beside the beautiful River Moy.

For businesses in Ballina and across Mayo, the potential customer base is no longer limited by geography, as digital marketing is opening up opportunities to reach audiences beyond the local area.

Whether it is selling products nationwide, attracting customers, or building a stronger online presence, having the right digital strategy can make a difference for a growing business.

With that in mind, local business owners are invited to a Lunch & Learn event that will offer advice and insight on how to make the most of the digital opportunities available to them.

The Western People, part of The Irish Times Group, is teaming up with the Ballina Chamber of Commerce to host the free event at The Cot & Cobble tomorrow, Thursday, September 10.

Running from 12.30pm to 2pm, the Lunch & Learn will give local businesses practical advice on using digital tools, social media and online advertising to boost their profile, engage with customers and ultimately, drive up revenue.

For businesses with goods or services that can be sold beyond their locality, digital marketing can open the door to a much wider audience, allowing companies based in Ballina and Mayo to reach customers across the 32 counties.

The event will highlight how businesses can work with the Western People and the wider Irish Times Group through digital advertising packages that are designed to help companies reach audiences across Ireland.

The first event of its kind to be hosted jointly by the Western People and Ballina Chamber, the Lunch & Learn marks another step in the growing relationship between the newspaper and the local business community.

Designed with small and medium-sized enterprises in mind, the session will focus on practical strategies that businesses can put into action, helping them to adapt to an increasingly digital marketplace and identify new growth opportunities.

Leading the session will be Riad Zouheir and Keith Nevin, who between them bring almost 50 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising.

Riad Zouheir is a recognised expert in marketing and media, with extensive experience in helping local businesses accelerate their growth through strategic offline and digital campaigns.

Over the course of his career, Riad has delivered more than 300 conferences and high-impact growth workshops around the world, and he works closely with The Irish Times Group to support revenue development, commercial strategy and advertiser education initiatives.

Riad specialises in equipping business owners and their sales teams with practical strategies to communicate more efficiently and convert marketing investment into long-term profitability.

Joining him will be Keith Nevin, Digital Ad Ops Manager at The Irish Times.

Keith has worked with the newspaper for nearly three decades, specialising in digital advertising operations for half of that. He works closely with clients, agencies and commercial teams to ensure that campaigns are delivered effectively and achieve meaningful results.

With a keen interest in ad technology and digital innovation, Keith helps brands to get the most from their digital marketing investments as they navigate an increasingly complex and ever-changing online landscape.

Together, Riad and Keith will help business owners understand how to use and strengthen their online presence to promote themselves, build audience engagement and generate revenue.
