Two Mayo boxers crowned national boxing champions

Over 140 boxers entered the competition from clubs throughout the Irish Athletic Boxing Association, and in excess of 120 bouts were boxed over 5 days.

Two Mayo boxers are among 18 IABA 2025 National Intermediate champions crowned at the National Stadium, Dublin, over the weekend.

Over 140 boxers entered the competition from clubs throughout the Irish Athletic Boxing Association, and in excess of 120 bouts were boxed over 5 days.

The Mayo champions are Carlagh Peake of Ballyhaunis BC, who was crowned the 51kg champion after a 5-0 win over Summer Flemming of Holy Trinity BC, Belfast.

The 85kg final was an all-Mayo affair, with Rashed Momoh of Castlebar BC being awarded the title on a 3-2 split decision following a very close bout against Padraig Corduff of St. Anne’s BC.
