The popular Open weekends returned to Mulranny with father and daughter Barry and Sarah Corrigan taking first and second places with 41 points and 39 points respectively. Entrants can play Thursday to Sunday. Entry is €20 for visitors (book online) and €7 for members.
Round 2 of the Mulranny Park Hotel Winter League was played over 15 holes. JJ Kelly with 36 points captured the individual first prize with Seamus Hyland in second place, also on 36, and John McTaggart taking third place on 35 points.
Shane McManamon was the winner of the special top 16 competition with 38 points while Aodan Mac Suibhne took second place on 37 with captain John Eastman in third spot with 36 points.
Aine Mhic Suibhne claimed the top prize in the recent Seniors with an excellent scores of 19 points. Martin Patten filled second on 18, the same score as Paddy McNea in third place.
Congratulations to Colin Cooney on capturing the Autumn Cup club singles matchplay championship after a well contested final against Mick McDonnell. The Autumn Cup is sponsored by Golf Style, Galway.
Mulranny Golf Club held its AGM last Friday night, November 10 in the clubhouse. Aodan Mac Suibhne takes over as captain and there were a number of other changes on the committee.
