Swinford achieves gold standard in Women in Golf charter

Swinford GC has been awarded the gold standard in the Women in Golf Charter by Golf Ireland, a recognition of the club’s commitment to promoting gender inclusivity and balance in golf.

Meanwhile, a special Club Rules Night at Swinford GC, featuring Golf Ireland Rules Officials Nicky McLoughlin and Shena Feehily, will be held this Wednesday, April 24. This event is a fantastic opportunity for all members to deepen their understanding of golf rules and enhance their playing experience.
Nicky and Shena will share their expertise and answer any questions you may have about the rules of golf. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this session is designed to benefit everyone.
Swinford Golf Club is excited to launch its Junior Golf Program, an initiative aimed at introducing golf to under-15s in a fun and friendly environment. The program kicks off with an Information Afternoon at the clubhouse this coming Saturday, April 27 from 2 to 4pm, offering families an overview of the activities and opportunities available.
Following the kick-off event, weekly golf lessons will begin on May 4, taking place every Saturday afternoon. These sessions are open to all levels, from novices to those with a budding interest in golf, ensuring that every child can find their swing.
The Junior Golf Program, run by dedicated volunteers, is focused on teaching the fundamentals of the game while emphasising sportsmanship, respect and teamwork. It's a perfect way to introduce kids to a sport that promotes physical health and social interaction.
